MATERIAL GLOSSARY

CORES
PE/DOW: (Polyethylene) is a highly durable core. Flexible, Tough & Light with exceptional memory/recoil. PE/DOW is a good core for cooler waters and riders who like a more flexible board.
PP: (Polypropylene) is a stiffer core with excellent memory. PP is the core more suitable for warmer waters & riders who prefer a stiffer board.
SLICKS
HDPE: (High Density Polyethylene) is a highly reliable performance slick without the pro price tag.
HDPP: (High Density Polypropylene) is a super stiff and strong slick, which performs well in all conditions and is highly crease resistant
SURLYN: Is the ultimate slick bottom for high end boards. It offers greater recoil after fl exing the board which creates greater projection out of turns. It’s the ultimate for performance.
DECKS
XLPE: Is a Polyethylene skin that has been exposed to ultra high frequency radiation, causing the cells to “cross link” which results in a very fine cell structure. Used as a deck and rail skin on entry level to mid range boards. Also used as an inner rail and nose and tail bumper on highend models.
WAVE CUSHION & WAVE CUSHION HAC: Wave Cushion is a non-crosslink Polyethylene skin used for decks and outer rails. The HAC (Heat Activated Film) refers to the special coating layer that is applied to one side of the skin, allowing a strong bond to PP cores.
COMPRESSION CELLS: Soft impact absorbing cells held in an energy core matrix to absorb the impact of air moves.

Mike Stewart Bodyboards South Africa – Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions

Mike Stewart Bodyboards South Africa warrants the product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 60 days from date of purchase. This warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase document. The board will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Mike Stewart Bodyboards South Africa. This warranty only covers damage incurred from normal surf related use and does not cover damage by obvious misuse, bubbling due to excessive exposure to sun and/ or heat, water logging from leash anchor, damage from leash strap or any type of creasing on either deck or slick bottom of the board. Mike Stewart Bodyboards South Africa, and the manufacturer cannot be held liable for any and all injuries or deaths resulting from use or misuse of the product.
